Ashley Smith
LPCA (she/her)
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in the state of Kentucky. I’m passionate about working with couples, supporting co-parenting relationships, and guiding individuals through the transition into parenthood. I’ve completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, equipping me with research-based tools to help clients build stronger, more connected relationships.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Communication and spent eight years working in the fitness industry. That experience has influenced my holistic approach to counseling. I believe true well-being means caring for every aspect of ourselves—mind, body, and relationships—and I bring that philosophy into my work with clients.
I believe communication lays the foundation of every healthy relationship. You’ll see this reflected in the interventions I use and the skills I teach to help foster deeper, more fulfilling connections.
On a personal note, my husband and I are excited to welcome our first baby boy this August! I’ve been a proud stepmom for the past four years, and family life is incredibly important to me. Outside of work, you’ll likely find me running, hiking, hunting, fishing, cheering at the baseball field, or walking my miniature chocolate Lab, Lacey.
